U18 Manager Position

Following the successful promotion of our U18 Coach Paul Midgley to Sunderland Academy, Cleveland Schools FA are looking to appoint a new manager/ coach or coaches for the season 2016-17 and onwards

Applicants must be committed, enthusiastic and hold a minimum of level 1 FA coaching award or be a qualified PE Teacher. The role is a voluntary position but is extremely rewarding and enjoyable. Experience in coaching youth football is essential. The role is open to non-teachers also.

What is involved?
  • Trials and friendly fixtures in September/Early Oct for boys in Y12 and Y13 of full time Cleveland students
  • Northern counties FA league entry with fixtures Oct-March against North Yorkshire, Cumbria, Northumberland, Durham and South Yorkshire
  • If qualify in top 2 positions then semi finals and potential final v North West counties. (Cleveland won this for first time ever in 2015)
  • ESFA U18 Inter County trophy entry (we were finalists 2014)
  • Games are played on Saturday’s with some midweek games at Northfield Sports College or equivalent under floodlights

Other information:
  • Full playing kit provided, including training tops
  • Match balls, training balls, bibs, cones also included
  • Access to Facebook and Twitter account to promote your team’s progress and provide information to players

Desirable
  • First Aid Qualified
  • Excellent man management skills
  • Strong planning, organisational and observational skills
  • Excellent communication skills with players and parents
  • Vehicle to transport equipment
  • FA DBS check (this can be arranged and paid for)
